"... en peligro de extinción"
Desde épocas muy tempranas, la mayoría de las
culturas y pueblos en el mundo han mostrado su identidad a través
de la indumentaria. Cada grupo se distinguía por la forma de
vestir, colores, estilos. Este es el caso también en América,
los Andes y el Altiplano. En la actualidad, este rasgo distintivo, propio,
se va extinguiendo. Afortunadamente, en nuestra región, aún
es posible apreciarla, lo que además demuestra que quechuas,
aymaras y mestizos somos herederos de una gran diversidad de culturas.
Prueba de ello es la gran variedad de estilos propios de llevar diariamente
sombreros, monteras y chullos.
Antes que esta costumbre, esta forma de expresar identidad, se pierda
definitivamente y se generalice el uso de gorros y sombreros "Made
in China", Rubén Colquehuanca nos regala la posibilidad
de disfrutar de esta especie particular de diversidad.
La Casa del Corregidor y cada visitante, estamos seguros, le estaremos
profundamente agradecidos.

From very early times, most of the people in the world showed their
identity through their dressing. Each group was distinguished for the
form of dressing, the colors, the styles; this happens in America, the
Andes and the Altiplano, too. Today, this characteristic is extinguishing.
But, fortunately, in our region, it is still possible to appreciate
it, and this demonstrates that quechua, aymara and mestizos, are heirs
of a great diversity of cultures. It proves of it is it the great variety
of styles of daily wearing of hats, monteras and chullos.
Before this habit, this form of expressing identity, got lost definitively
and the use of caps and hats "Made in China" get generalized,
Rubén Ccolquehuanca gives us the possibility to enjoy this peculiar
species of diversity.
